Chandigarh BasketBall Association (CBA) is a ‘sports body’ registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and recognized by The Chandigarh Sports Council, a statutory body under the Sports Department, Chandigarh Administration.
-Receives financial and other assistance from the Union Territory Administration in the Sports Department, from the Government of India under various schemes as promulgated from time to time.
-Looks after the welfare of the Basketball sportsmen/women and to provides necessary monetary assistance to them.
-Grants financial aid to selected Basketball sportsmen/women/coaches/manager/veterans for recognized international competitions, duly sponsored by the Government of India, Ministry of Sports.
-Confers awards on coaches for their performance in producing athletes of National/ International repute.
-Undertakes and implement schemes relating to development of Basketball.
